Richard lived in Lynnfield, MA and was admitted to the Church there in 1729. Later he moved to Rowley, MA and lived there till 1764 when he then moved, with his three sons, John, Zebulon, and Richard Jr., to a settlement lately formed by New England colonists on the banks of the St. John River, New Brunswick, called Maugerville. Richard Estey was one of the original signers of the covenant of the Congregational Church at Maugerville. He left many descendants in New Brunswick (now in Canada) and many now live in the United States.
