Received one third of his father’s farm and helped his two other brothers (John and George) pay off the other children for their share.3 Henry was a Revolutionary War Soldier. Henry was an officer (Ensign) in 1782 serving under Captain Samuel Henry, First Batallion, Lancaster County Melita.7 His brothers, John and George served under him (in this case, John and George’s last names were spelled “Devenboch”).7 In 1883 Henry again served with Captain Samuel Henry as a soldier 4th class.8 | ||||||
